"Police investigating aggravated robbery on Waiheke Island

Waiheke Island Police are investigating an aggravated
robbery that occurred at the Z service station on Onetangi
Road, Waiheke Island yesterday (Monday 21 August).
The
incident occurred at about 9.50pm when a person has entered
the Z station and threatened the sole attendant with a
machete. While traumatised from this incident the
attendant was not injured.
The two till drawers containing
an amount of cash were stolen.
The offender has been
described as a tall male, with a slim athletic build wearing
a balaclava and black puffer jacket and jeans.
Sergeant
Marty Felton of Waiheke Police would like to hear from
anyone who may be able to identify the man described or
anyone who has information that may assist the
inquiry.
