Ngaio Gorge closures next week

Wellington City Council is planning to close Ngaio Gorge Road next Tuesday 29 and Wednesday 30 August during off-peak hours (9am to 4pm) to enable the safe removal of loose material on the slopes around the slip sites.

During the road closure, a long-reach excavator will be operating to remove the accumulated debris from the lower slip site, and an abseil team will be scaling the loose rocks on the slopes and inspecting the slip sites.
