Truck blocking Rakaia Bridge - Rakaia Bridge - Canterbury

Emergency services are in attendance at the Rakaia bridge where a truck has hit the bridge.

The driver is out of the vehicle and uninjured, but the bridge is currently blocked.

Traffic is currently being diverted off SH 1.

Motorists are advised to delay travel if possible.
