Search underway off Ruapuke Rocks, Raglan

Please attribute the following to Senior Sergeant David Raffan:

Emergency services are responding to a report of a person missing off Ruapuke Rocks, Raglan.

At approximately 11:15am this morning, Police were called to a report of someone seen struggling in the water.

The person, believed to have possibly been fishing off the rocks, has not been seen since.

Police, Coastguard and Search and Rescue teams have been searching the area, with the assistance of a helicopter, a small plane and a jet ski.

Police are making further enquiries and ask anyone who has any information, and has not yet spoken to Police, to contact Sergeant Ranger at Hamilton Police.
