"Serious crash, Timaru "

Emergency services are responding to a serious crash on the Timaru-Pareora Highway.

Police were called to the crash between Half Chain Road and King Street involving a car and truck at 2.25pm.

One person is trapped in the car.

The road is closed and diversions are in place.

The Serious Crash Unit is on its way and the Commercial Vehicle Safety Team is at the scene.
