"Police seeking witnesses in relation to Hawke's Bay fatal crash "

At approximately 10:00am on Wednesday 10 January, a cyclist was fatally injured after being struck by a vehicle on State Highway 50A between Flaxmere Ave and Omahu Road, in Hawke's Bay.

The cyclist, a 70-year-old man from Hastings, was wearing distinctive yellow shoes, t-shirt and shorts.

The Hawke's Bay Serious Crash Unit are currently investigating the circumstances leading up to the fatal crash, and are seeking any witnesses who may have seen the cyclist prior to the collision.
