Communities Raise Over $24,000 at Volunteers BBQ

Communities Raise Over $24,000 at the Emergency Services Volunteers BBQ

Thanks to community generosity, over $24,000 has been raised nationally through the annual Emergency Services Volunteers BBQ, held on Saturday 20th January at all Bunnings stores across the country. All funds raised will go directly to support local emergency services volunteers.

Bunnings New Zealand General Manager, Toby Lawrance, would like to thank everyone who headed to their local Bunnings over the weekend and supported this important initiative.

“We were so pleased to see communities show their support for their local emergency services groups, whether they bought a sausage or made a donation.

We’d also like to thank the local emergency services volunteers and our team members who got behind the BBQs this weekend,” Toby said.

Team members and local volunteers ran 46 BBQ’s across New Zealand and every cent raised goes directly to local emergency services groups.
