"Fatal crash Otane, Hawke’s Bay"

Emergency services are attending a fatal crash on Middle Road, Otane.

Police were called to the scene at 3.30pm.

Initial reports indicate that two motorcycles were involved and one collided with a truck.

One motorcyclist has died at the scene.

Another person has been taken to Hawke’s Bay Hospital in a serious condition.

Police are in the process of notifying next of kin.

The road is closed and diversions are in place.

The Serious Crash Unit is investigating.
