"Warkworth crash - update"

State Highway 1 has reopened in both directions following a serious crash in Warkworth.

Three people, including a child, have sustained serious injuries and have been transported to hospital.

None of the injuries are believed to be life-threatening.

Traffic remains heavy in the area and motorists are asked to exercise patience.

The Serious Crash Unit is continuing its investigation into the incident.
