Fatal crash in Karaka

"Fatal crash in Karaka"

Emergency services are in attendance at a fatal crash in Karaka.

Police were called to the two-car crash on Karaka Road around 6:15pm.

The crash occurred near Whangapouri and Blackbridge Roads.

One person has died however there is no information available on other injuries at this stage.

Diversions are being put in place and motorists are asked to avoid the area if possible.
