"UPDATE: Serious crash in Timaru on Saturday 26 May 2018"

One person has died following a serious crash in Timaru yesterday afternoon.

The collision, between a vehicle and a cyclist, occurred on Washdyke Flat Road about 2.30pm.

Police can now confirm that the cyclist died as a result of the crash.

There were no other injuries.

The Serious Crash Unit is investigating.
