The New Zealand Taxpayers’ Union and Auckland Ratepayers’ Alliance respond with sadness to the passing of Cr Dick Quax.
Taxpayers’ Union Executive Director, Jordan Williams, said, “It was deeply saddening to arrive back in New Zealand to news of the loss of my friend Dick Quax. Dick was an exemplary representative of his community, a fiscal conservative with a generous heart. His work ethic, intellectual honesty, and integrity set a very high standard.”
Ratepayers’ Alliance spokesperson, Jo Holmes, said, “Dick loved his community and in politics strived every day to make it even better. He is a loss not only to the Council but to Auckland as a whole.”
