Crash SH 1, Paekakariki

Police are advising motorists on State Highway 1 on the Kapiti Coast to delay their travel following a crash.

A truck and two cars collided in the northbound lane between Pukerua Bay and Paekakariki.

There are reports of injuries.

The northbound lane of the road is closed.

Traffic is at a standstill in the area.

Southbound traffic is being diverted over the Paekakariki Hill Road, however this is not suitable for trucks and heavy vehicles.

Northbound traffic is being diverted down the southbound lane of State Highway One.

Motorists are being advised to expected lengthy delays.

Police would like to thank motorists for their patience in advance.
