Minor road closure for Tutanekai Street roadworks

Minor road closure for Tutanekai Street roadworks

The Kāpiti Coast District Council is advising Paraparaumu road users that on Tuesday 17 July, a section of Tutanekai Street will be closed to vehicles to allow urgent works to be carried out on the corner of Tutanekai Street and Arawhata Road.

The works will involve investigating and repairing a water leak coming up from under the road. Contractors will start at 8am and should have the work completed by the end of the day, provided the works go to plan. The western end of Tutanekai Street will be closed to traffic turning into Arawhata Road, and a detour via Parakai Street and Coleman Street will be in place. Traffic travelling north and south on Arawhata Road will still be able to turn into Tutanekai Street, but there will be speed restrictions and a lane diversion in place.

The Council thanks residents and road users for their understanding and patience while we carry out these works.
