"Pedestrian dies after being hit by car in Te Atatu"
pedestrian hit by a car in Te Atatu this evening has died.
The pedestrian suffered critical injuries in the
collision, which occurred on Te Atatu Road at around 6.40pm,
and died a short time ago in hospital.
The road remains
closed around the crash scene and diversions are in place.
No details regarding the deceased will be released until
formal identification has taken place and next of kin have
