"Update - Serious crash, New Plymouth"

A man has died following a serious two-car crash on Devon Rd (SH3), Brixton, New Plymouth this afternoon.

He was the driver and sole occupant of one of the cars.

The sole occupant of the other car, a woman, has been taken to hospital with serious injuries.

Part of SH3, near Waitara Rd, remains closed and the Serious Crash Unit will investigate.
