Police Cameron Street, Whangärei Sunday August 12, 2018
Whangärei Police are seeking public assistance with
information in relation to the aggravated robbery of a
Service Station in Ruakaka on Saturday 11 August 2018.
About 7.25pm a lone male entered the GAS Service Station
on State Highway 1 Ruakaka, and presented a firearm. He
demanded cash and cigarettes from the attendants. The male
was heavily disguised and carried a black back pack which he
used to store the property that was stolen.
The male was
seen to run to a vehicle that was parked at the northern end
of the Service Station and drive off towards Whangarei.
Police would like any witnesses to the robbery or anyone
with information that would assist their investigation to
come forward.
