"Arrest following stabbing in Glen Eden"

Police have arrested a 43-year-old woman following an assault in Glen Eden this afternoon.

The incident occurred at a property in Glen Eden shortly after midday where a woman was stabbed.

The victim is currently in hospital receiving treatment for multiple cuts.

The alleged offender, the 43-year-old woman, has been charged with wounding with intent to cause grievous bodily harm and will be appearing in Waitakere District Court on Monday.

As the matter is now before the court Police are unable to comment further.
