Serious crash closes road near Gisborne
State Highway 35 east of Gisborne is closed after a
serious crash between a car and a truck.
It happened on Whangara Road just east of Makarori Beach Road around 9pm
The Serious Crash Unit is in attendance.
This stretch of road - between Gisborne and Tologa Bay - is likely to be closed for most of the night.
Motorists are asked to avoid travelling in this area if possible.
