Police have now arrested a local man aged in his 20s in relation to the family harm incident in Papamoa this morning.
A man in his 40s has died after being stabbed at the address.
No one else has been injured in this altercation and no one else is sought in relation to the death.
There is no risk to the public.
The next of kin has been advised of the incident.
The scene investigation is still underway and Police will have the area cordoned off for some time while enquiries are undertaken.
