"Fatal Crash - Christchurch - Canterbury"

Emergency services are working at the scene of a serious crash in Gloucester Street, Central City, Christchurch.

Police were called to the single vehicle crash scene at about 11.15pm. Police can confirm that one person has died and three people have been transported to hospital.

The Serious Crash Unit has been advised,

The road is closed and diversions will be in place.

Motorists are asked to avoid the area if possible.
