Auckland Police call for victim to come forward


Auckland Police would like to speak with a victim following an incident at Mission Bay beach on Saturday 17 November.

A 48-year-old man has been arrested in relation to the incident after the matter was reported to Police by witnesses.

The incident occurred at around 1.45pm and involved a man, wearing a large piece of fabric draped over his body.

The man has approached a woman who was lying on the beach, and lifted her dress with a walking crutch.

The victim has yelled at the man and then picked up her belongings and left the beach.

Following the incident the man in question left the scene.

He returned later where was arrested by Police after being identified by witnesses.

While Police have spoken to a number of witnesses they would still like to hear from the victim.
