Limited train services operating

25 January 2019

Some train services are now operating after this morning’s fault with the signal system.

The signals operated by KiwiRail failed at around seven this morning halting all trains.

Services are now resuming on a half hour timetable on the western, eastern, Onehunga and southern line as far south as Manukau. Rail replacement buses are operating between Manukau and Papakura.

There will be automatic refunds for customers who have a registered AT HOP card and whose travel was disrupted this morning. Other affected customers will need to go to a customer service centre for a refund.

Auckland Transport is waiting for word from KiwiRail on when full services can resume. Additional buses have been provided on some key routes.
