Police appeal to witnesses to cyclist incident in Kohimarama

Sergeant Blair Atkinson, Waitemata Serious Crash Unit:

Police are appealing for witnesses to an incident involving a cyclist on the morning of Monday 4th February.

Between 6.30am and 7.45am, an elderly male cyclist was located injured at the intersection of Southern Cross Road and Sprott Road, Kohimarama.

He was transported to hospital where he died the following day.

Police want to speak to anyone who may have seen this incident or who assisted the injured rider, including a female at the scene who phoned the cyclist’s wife.
