Serious crash near Opotiki
A body has been recovered from the scene of a serious
crash in Waiotahe, near Opotiki, earlier today.
services were advised around 11.10am that a truck and
trailer had gone off State Highway 2 and into a river near
Toone and Ruatuna roads.
The body was recovered by the
Police Dive Squad about 10.10pm.
The road will be closed
from 10.30am tomorrow to enable the truck to be
