Kaikoura trio charged with drugs offences

Detective Senior Sergeant Ciaran Sloan, Marlborough Area Manager, Investigations:

Three men have been charged with drug supply and cultivation offences following search warrants in Kaikoura.

The Marlborough Tactical Crime Unit executed a number of search warrants over the past two days in relation to cannabis and methamphetamine dealing in the Kaikoura township.

Police seized items associated with the sale and supply of methamphetamine, drug-related utensils and a small quantity of cannabis.

A 22-year-old man appeared in Blenheim District Court today, and was bailed to reappear on Monday 11 March.

A 20-year-old and a 24-year-old were bailed and are due to appear in Blenheim District Court on Monday 25 February.

Marlborough Police are focused on reducing drug-related harm in our rural townships and communities, and it’s pleasing to be able to put people before the courts and hold them to account.
