Register now to take on the Dirty Dog Challenge

Registrations for this year’s Dirty Dog Challenge on Saturday 15 June are now open.

Following the success of last year’s event, the Dirty Dog Challenge will be returning for another year at Ngaruawahia Christian Youth Camp.

Jointly hosted by Hamilton City Council and Waikato District Council, this is a unique event where dogs and their owners can navigate their way through a mud-filled obstacle course.

If your dog loves running, climbing, water or mud –and you don’t mind getting a bit grubby –then this is the event for you.

Hamilton City Council’s Animal Education and Control Manager Susan Sandford says the event is a fun event to thank good dog owners.

“Last year’s event was very popular and we are excited to be teaming up with Waikato District Council again to bring Dirty Dog back for dog owners this year.

Given the event’s popularity we encourage people to register early so they don’t miss out.”

All profits from this event will go to helping animals in Hamilton and Waikato District’s communities.

Tickets are $40 for one person per dog and $15 extra for an additional runner. This event is open to dogs of all shapes and sizes, but they must be vaccinated and in good health.
