Police seek help in identifying elderly man


North Shore Police are seeking the publics assistance in identifying an elderly Asian male located in the environs of New World shopping centre, Lake Road, Hauraki Corner, Takapuna at 1330hrs today.

This elderly gentleman is aged approximately 70 - 80 years and information received suggests that he is of Cantonese or Taiwanese decent.

He seems to be suffering Dementia or Alzheimer's but is otherwise in good health.

His physical description is as follows:

Male Asian 160cm tall Thin build Bald head Wispy white goatee beard otherwise clean shaven Wearing a blue dress shirt, brown sleeveless button cardigan, grey dress pants and black shoes.

He is not in possession of identification documentation and is unable to assist Police with his contact details or the contact details of his next of kin.

North Shore Police have delivered this gentleman to the North Shore Hospital for further care. However any information leading to this persons identification can be directed to the Custody Sergeant at the North Shore Policing Centre on 09 477 5044.
