Wairarapa Police seek two women in connection to aggravated burglary

Wairarapa Police are looking for two women who have warrants to arrest in relation to an aggravated burglary in River Road, Masterton in the early hours of Friday 28 October 2011.

Detective Sergeant Barry Bysouth of the Wairarapa CIB says 37 year old Koral Leanne Northover of Featherston is wanted to arrest for aggravated burglary, injuring with intent to injure and intentional damage.

Police are also looking for 22 year old Melissa Jane Rutene of Carterton who has a warrant to arrest for attempting to pervert the course of justice.

"Yesterday two women, aged 36 and 19 years appeared in the Masterton District Court charged with aggravated burglary, injuring with intent to injure and intentional damage. A 52 year old woman also appeared on one charge of attempting to pervert the course of justice, in relation to the incident."

The 23 year old female victim suffered injuries as a result of a beating at a River Road address in the early hours of Friday 28 October.

"We would like to hear from anyone who knows the whereabouts of either Koral Northover or Melissa Rutene. Anyone with any information should phone the Wairarapa Police on (06) 370 0300 or phone Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.

Detective Sergeant Bysouth says Police are not looking for anyone else in connection to the incident.
