Going Digital Community Programme at Stokes Valley Library

Going Digital Community Programme at Stokes Valley Library

The Going Digital community meetings campaign will visit the Stokes Valley Library on 25 November from 10:30am to 3:00pm.

Community Advisor for Going Digital Guy Burns says “ I am looking forward to talking with people in the Hutt community to answer questions, clarify queries and provide information regarding Going Digital.”

“You just have to ask those people who have already gone digital about the better picture and sound quality, additional channels and benefits such as onscreen TV guides to realise this is like the time New Zealand got colour television, fantastic!

“If you already have Freeview, Sky or TelstraClear, you have already gone digital and don’t need to do anything else.

“You will not need a new TV to go digital because almost any TV can receive a digital signal with the right equipment, but you will need Freeview, Sky or TelstraClear to continue watching TV after 29 September 2013.

“Local residents have a choice between using a satellite dish or UHF aerial. UHF is available in the open and flatter areas of the valley. For those in hilly and remoter areas, a satellite dish will be required.”

Mr Burns is available to meet and talk with residents and community groups at convenient time that suits the community. He can be contacted on 021 2624645 or guy.burns@goingdigital.co.nz. Further information can be accessed at www.goingdigital.co.nz.
