Local Police officers and LandSar volunteers have now located Levin man, Stuart Richard Rangihuna after he went missing in the early hours of yesterday morning from his home.

The search for Mr Rangihuna resumed at about 8:30am this morning. Search teams were deployed to the Ohau Valley area, including the Ohau track located near the foothills to the east of Levin.

Officer in charge of Levin Station Senior Sergeant Willie Roy says: "Mr Rangihuna was found just before 9am this morning near the Trig Track in remote bush, several hundred metres off Denton Road, east of Levin."

"He has sustained some moderate injuries from being out in the conditions for more then 24 hours."

An ambulance was called to the area and Mr Rangihuna has been transferred to Levin Hospital. He is in a stable condition.

"Thank you to the SAR volunteers and local officers who were involved in the search for Mr Rangihuna," says Senior Sergeant Roy.
