Armed officers make arrests in Te Atatu

The Auckland Armed Offenders Squad is currently at a Kerville Ave, Te Atatu Peninsula address that has been the focus of Police activity this afternoon.

Two men and a woman at the property were arrested and the AOS has just cleared the dwelling to enable inquiry staff to access it.

Matipo and Peninsula Primary Schools are nearby and Police have liaised with the principals of them to advise of activities in the area and ensure children and parents did not venture into Kerville Ave which was closed to the public until about 3pm.

No shots were fired in or near the address thus far and the three arrests were effected without incident.
