Applications for Funding Grants for 2013 Variety Mini Bash

APPLICATIONS FOR FUNDING GRANTS NOW OPEN
FOR THE 2013 VARIETY MINI BASH!

HELPING KIWI KIDS AND THEIR COMMUNITIES IN
SOUTH AUCKLAND, PUKEKOHE, PORT WAIKATO AND SURROUNDING AREAS

Variety – The Children’s Charity is thrilled to be bringing the Variety Mini Bash to South Auckland, Port Waikato, Pukekohe and the Awhitu Peninsula for the weekend of September 20 – 22, 2013.

Variety is currently seeking applications for funding to be considered for distribution during the 2013 Variety Mini Bash. Families and child-related organizations in need within the region should submit a grant application form to Variety by the closing date of 31 July, 2013.

The Variety Mini Bash is a shorter but equally exciting version of Variety’s signature event, the Variety Bash. This larger-than-life car rally will be travelling over the weekend of September 20 – 22 fundraising for Kiwi kids, distributing grants, entertaining children and participating in community projects.

Examples of items that may be considered for funding include specialised trikes, computer equipment for special hearing and communications requirements, sport/play/art and cultural equipment, and customised equipment for children with special needs. Application forms are available online at www.variety.org.nz or by phoning (09) 520 4111.
Variety - The Children's Charity levels the playing field for disadvantaged Kiwi kids. Every year we help over 10,000 local children - we meet their unmet health and education needs providing them with brighter futures. We work alongside schools, agencies and the government, tackling child poverty so the Kiwi kids who urgently need our life-changing assistance are set up to reach their full potential in life.
