This is just one of the initiatives the Council is taking to increase earthquake safety in Wellington. The Council has been doing a lot of work identifying earthquake-prone buildings and is particularly keen to work with heritage building owners to ensure the buildings continue to contribute to our city’s character and economy.”
The next round of applications is now open and will close on 14 March. Heritage building owners thinking of maintaining or quake-strengthening their property are encouraged to contact the Council.
