Four charged with aggravated robbery of tourists
Bay of Plenty, 27 December 2013 - Four people will appear at Whakatane District Court today charged with the aggravated robbery of two German tourists.
Three of those appearing are males aged, 14 ,17 and 18. The fourth person is a female aged 15. The 17-year-old is from the Whakatane area and the other three are from Opotiki.
Police are still looking for a fifth youth who is believed to have been involved in the incident.
The two tourists remained in Whakatane Hospital overnight recovering from their injuries.
