Firearms incident in Wellington

At around 5.14am on 6 March 2014 Police were called to an incident in Westmeath St, Porirua.

Residents reported hearing several loud bangs.

An initial investigation indicates that a number of shots were fired at an address in the street.

The investigation is on-going and anyone with information concerning the matter is urged to contact Detective Sergeant Ben Quinn on 04 2381420

Information supplied to Police will be treated confidentially.
