Wellington Police
would like to thank several members of the public who
blocked in a drunk driver on the Wellington urban motorway
at about 3pm yesterday afternoon.
Police were called by
members of the public when they saw a southbound blue SUV
weaving across 3 lanes, hitting the median barrier several
times before finally stopping at the south end of the
Terrace tunnel.
Once stopped several vehicles blocked in
the SUV and a member of the public grabbed the keys from the
vehicle.
A 40 year old man was processed for drink
driving.
