Bar crossing course at Raglan

Crossing the notorious Raglan bar can be extremely hazardous for even the most experienced boatie.

Waikato Regional Council is supporting Raglan Coastguard to run another of its popular bar crossing courses on Sunday 22 March.

The courses give advice on the safest way to cross the bar and what hazards to look out for.

The course venue is the Raglan Bowling Club on the corner of James and Wallis streets in Raglan, with registration starting at 8.30am.

Cost is $30 if prepaid or $35 cash on the day.

Pre-registration for the event is essential either to raglancoastguard@gmail.com or with Brigid at 07 825 8089.

Participants need to bring a lifejacket.
