96 hours to go to keep Queenstown on top!
Queenstown, New Zealand (27 February 2015) – As of today, Queenstown is sitting in the top 15 of 80 cities around the world all competing for a spot on the global Monopoly Here & Now: World Edition game board. And there’s only 96 hours left to vote to keep Queenstown in the running to represent New Zealand on the board.
Destination Queenstown CEO, Graham Budd, is encouraging Kiwis to get behind Queenstown to be the first ever New Zealand destination on the board.
“With only a few days left to vote we’re encouraging one last push to get people to vote for Queenstown and keep New Zealand in the top 20. It would be a great achievement to see New Zealand’s premier holiday destination on the board among some of the world’s favourite cities and towns.”
Queenstown just missed out on its place on the first Monopoly Here And Now board back in 2008, and Mr Budd hopes Kiwis will get behind the region to ensure it secures prime Monopoly real estate in 2015.

Voting closes on 3 March 2015 and the final list of cities that will be featured in the Monopoly Here And Now games will be announced on 19 March 2015, World Monopoly Day and the Monopoly brand’s official 80th birthday. The Monopoly Here And Now: World Edition game will be available in September.
