Missing Woman - Christchurch - Canterbury

Canterbury Police are concerned for the welfare of Julia Copeland an elderly woman who has left the Christchurch International Airport about 10:00am this morning.

Senior Sergeant Roy Appley says Police would like to hear from anyone who may have seen a 88 year old woman walking away from the airport. Mrs Copeland was last seen on Memorial Avenue walking towards the city. Mrs Copeland is described as a caucasian lady of small build with grey hair. She is wearing a black vest, black pants and a grey patterned shift. She is carrying at least one hand bag.

Mrs Copeland could become confused as she has some memory difficulties. She is a strong walker and may have already covered some considerable distance.

Any sightings of Mrs Copeland should be communicated to your nearest Police Station or phone 3637400.
