Police investigate serious assault

Police in Onehunga are investigating a serious assault after an incident that occurred in Trafalgar Street around 3.00am this morning, Saturday 30 July.

A 36 year-old man is in a serious condition in hospital after receiving a number of stab wounds, while another male was also being treated for injuries.

Police are speaking with a 16 year-old man in relation to the incident and are not seeking anyone else at this time.

Police are still in the early stages of our investigation, and staff are speaking with a number of witnesses who were at the address to determine what exactly occurred.

While staff are still making initial enquiries, Police have no further information available.
