"Pedestrian hit by train in Tokoroa"

At approximately 5:30am this morning Police responded to reports a pedestrian had been hit by a train on Bridge Street, Tokoroa.

Police arrived at the scene and found the pedestrian had died.

Police are making enquiries into the incident.

No further information is available at this stage.
