– a BIG WINTER BLAST!

We’re having a Big Winter Blast to end our first ever Hutt Winter Festival, bringing the whole Hutt whānau together in celebration of creativity and community, 1-5pm Sunday 23 July at the Walter Nash Centre, Taita.

This family friendly free event features wild creatures, music, dance, funky photobooth and storytelling – also local community groups will provide delicious food at an affordable price.

Come on down and enjoy stage performances by local groups including the Mayur Dance Academy, Arohanui Strings, Selina Alesana Alefosio and dancers, and more!

Experience the Wild Arrivals – a parade of huge hand-made creatures made by local communities such as Waiwhetu Marae,Wainuiomata Intermediate, and Wainuiomata Brownies.

And bring your dancing shoes and get your body warmed up with a massive choreographed dance routine, led by Malia Johnston (WOW Artistic Director, Footnote Dance).
