"Police seek help to identify jewel thief"

Police are seeking help to identify a man who is alleged to have stolen a diamond ring from a jewellery store in Elliott Street in Auckland’s CBD on Wednesday 13 December, 2017.

At approximately 11.50am the man was looking at a selection of rings before being handed a diamond solitaire ring valued at over $36,000.

When he received the ring he ran from the store into Elliott Street and turned right to run up Wellesley Street.

Police would like to hear from anyone who can identify the man in these photos.
