"UPDATE: Serious crash Whitford Road, Shamrock Park, Auckland"

One person has died following a crash on Whitford Road, Shamrock Park, Auckland this evening.

In addition to the deceased one person received critical injuries in the crash and another person has serious injuries.

The crash was reported to emergency services at 5.40pm.

Due to the crash Whitford Road is closed between Point View Drive and Whitford Park Road until further notice.

Motorists are asked to avoid the area.
