The Waikato Westpac Rescue
Helicopter was dispatched at 9:30pm to a single car crash on
Lake Arapuni road near Waotu. Five girls were all injured
when there vehicle left the road and crashed into the side
wall of a farmers concrete underpass.
The 17yr old driver
and a 15yr old passenger received multiple injuries. They
were both loaded on stretchers and flown together to Waikato
Hospital for further assessment and treatment. The remaining
three passengers were taken by road ambulance to Waikato
Hospital with minor to moderate injuries.
