"UPDATE: Otahuhu altercation "

Police would like to thank members of the public who provided information to assist with the investigation following a stabbing incident in Marjorie Jayne Crescent, Otahuhu yesterday morning.

The incident involved two men known to each other.

The 52-year-old victim remains in hospital in a serious but stable condition.

A 50-year-man was charged with wounding with intent to cause grievous bodily harm and appeared in Manukau District Court yesterday where he was remanded in custody till the end of the month for a second court appearance.

Police believe this was an isolated incident and no-one else is being sought in relation to the matter.
