Fresh face putting name into Auckland Mayoral race

Self-employed freelance media contractor Craig Lord has started his campaign to become Auckland Mayor in 2019. His intention is to be a ‘grass roots’ option for every Aucklander.

Having worked in the public eye for the last 16 years as a motorsport commentator, event MC, journalist and radio/television host he has grown a vast network of not just sporting contacts but business people - and on the initial contact with them he has had nothing but positive feedback for the challenge ahead.

“I broached the idea with friends, family and business contacts and not one person has said no. It’s been overwhelming to be fair”.

“My intention is to be the people’s Mayor, to communicate and do the job that the Mayor is meant to do - represent and promote. It’s what I do for a living anyway. The current Mayor and other candidates are showing that they want to have dictatorships and power, and that’s not what the role is about”

The campaign will be based around communication, honesty and opening the council finances.

Craig can be reached via the above contact details and is available for interviews and audio bites.
