There’s a call for action in the
“baby tapping chest therapy” at National Women’s Hospital.
Alliance Health Spokesperson, Phillida Bunkle, says it
reveals problems with patient’s rights. She is calling for
Health Minister Wyatt Creech to step in and address the
issue. The “tapping” treatment has been linked to the deaths
of five babies and brain damage to eight. The inquiry into
the procedure found parents were never informed of the
technique. Ms Bunkle says Mr Creech must do something as
patient’s rights continue to get abused.
