B Wise, B Ready For Y2K |
||
Auckland City Council - City Scene
A little bit of planning, a little bit of thought; that's all it will take for most people to be ready for Y2K.
A national advertising campaign, advising people to "B Y2K Wise" begins this week and in late August, all households will receive a brochure giving them guidelines on how to prepare for the event. Mayor Christine Fletcher says she is pleased the city is taking Y2K seriously.
"Preparations being taken will mean that it is unlikely there will be major problems.
"We
are also suggesting that residents take Y2K seriously and
take time to plan and prepare. People should look out for
the information in their letterboxes in late August from the
Government's Y2K Readiness Commission and if they have any
further questions they should call Auckland City."
